Installation in Toffia, Italy 2014 - Installation view of what I worked on for a month in Toffia, Italy. I found a fresco on the site, and started to collaborate with it. Normally, I paint but this time I needed to approach it with different materials because of the limited access to art materials. Some materials were brought from Japan, for example my grandmother's bed sheet and some other materials were a gift from friends in Toffia. I wanted to make a thread of where I came from and where I was at the moment; time and place and time and time.

Installation View - drawing
I always somewhat felt disoriented and dizzy at the residency where I was staying. Maybe because I was constantly on the top of the cliff-mountain, and driving a widing road. Placing my drawings on the tilted bench made sense to me.
